Last Chance!
With the pending rain, we want to let you know that this week may be the last chance we will have bulk tomatoes for ordering.
Juice or Produce box add-on option
Laguna Fresh Produce
Are you getting a weekly produce box and want another one added on?  Would you like a juice box in addition to your produce box? You can order an additional box here.  The advantage to going this route is that delivered boxes will not have a double delivery fee.
Laguna Farm Juice Box
If you would like to get a juice box instead of a produce box, we can switch your box over.  Just give us a call.  Many members are opting to get a produce box one week and a juice box the next week.

Laguna Farm Happenings!
Dear Members,
This weekend, September 27th and 28th Laguna Farm is participating in Farm Trails.  As I mentioned last week, you must RSVP for the event (for free) before they send you the names of the participating farms as well as their address and a map. During this two day event, we will have green smoothie and juicing demonstrations as well as farm tours starting at the top of every hour.  During the lunch hour, we will provide free refreshments under the oak tree and invite you to bring a picnic lunch.
Be well,
Jennifer Branham

Laguna Farm Radishes

Tuesday Produce Boxes:
Salad mix, Cauliflower, Carrots, Radishes, Sweet Peppers, Tomatoes, Summer Squash, or Cucumbers.

Thursday Produce Boxes:
Salad mix, Green Beans, Beets, Radishes, Sweet Peppers, Tomatoes, and Cucumbers.

Juice Boxes Contains:
Carrots, Beets, Asian Pears, Ginger, Berries, Spinach or Kale, Celery, Oranges.

I notice when I drink a vegetable juice blend I immediately feel a surge of energy.  I notice it the most with carrot juice, and it’s not the jittery caffeine energy I get from coffee, but more an inspired motivational energy that encourages me to create, dance, clean, garden, play football with my son, or generally move…  I wouldn’t encourage anyone to replace juice with sleep, or rest, but if you are looking for a pick me up, carrot, beet, celery juice will certainly do the trick.

Sweet Roasted Radishes

Roast Your Radishes!

I’m serious.  I did not like radishes until I tried them roasted and now I love them as I do carrots and beets.  Here are a few recipe links with methods for roasting this wonderful root.

Honey Roasted Radishes  (This is my personal favorite!)

I encourage you to roast them with potatoes, beets, carrots, turnips, or any other roast-able vegetable.  So many members complain that our radishes are too spicy.  By roasting them, you can bring out the sweetness of the root and make them wonderfully palatable and digestible.
