Laguna Farm Happenings!
 Dear Members,
Are you thinking about Thanksgiving yet?  We are! This is our favorite time of year with Halloween to celebrate, then Thanksgiving shortly followed by Christmas.  Lots of friends, family and good eating.  Thanksgiving week is a particularly special time at Laguna Farm where we open our barn doors to the public and encourage non-members to try out our CSA and shop in the farm store.  If you know someone who has been curious about Laguna Farm, send them on over.  During Thanksgiving week, we will make and deliver our boxes on Tuesday and Wednesday.  This way you will have your produce in time for cooking on Thanksgiving and the farm staff will have the day off to enjoy with their families.

All of us at Laguna Farm hope you enjoy this Fall harvest season and most importantly, have fun, eat heartily and be well.
Jennifer Branham

Parsley is Great For YOU!

Parsley pesto, parsley in juice, tabbouleh, are all wonderful ways to enjoy your HUGE bunch of Laguna Farm parsley.  Join us in learning the 10 best parsley recipes.

Follow this simple rule in juicing and see how it goes!

80% Veggies 20% Fruit

The 80/20 Golden Rule advises we juice 80% vegetables and 20% fruit.  I have noticed that more and more my taste for juice has moved away from the sweet fruits that I enjoyed in early summer and more toward refreshing celery, cilantro and lime juices.  This rule is pretty flexible as rules go with suggestions on blending a 80/20 ratio in one juice or in several juices throughout the day.  I will aim to provide “Juice Box” members with a similar ratio in the Juice Box to assist you.
