Laguna Farm Happenings!
Dear Members,
This week we learned the great news that our grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Services was awarded to us.  This grant will provide us with money to purchase mulch, compost, soil amendments and a permanent green house.
On the farm, we are preparing for the upcoming holidays by creating gift items that members can purchase.  Our gift items are locally grown, produced and assembled.  Please peruse our gift department as many of  the gifts could make nice hostess or teacher gifts.
Lastly, do you have any books to donate?  We have developed a book exchange on the farm that is intended to be a fundraiser for the families who use Cal-fresh (food-stamps) to purchase their CSA produce.  These families get an additional $5.00 to shop in the farm store and we are looking for ways to generate those funds.  Our book exchange hosts a donation jar where members can slip in a buck or two if they find a book they would like to take.  Feel free to bring your books to the farm or leave them outside your house (home delivery folks) with a clear note for Diego to take.
Be well,
Jennifer Branham
