| What
is Community Shared Agriculture or "C.S.A.?"
Community
Shared Agriculture (CSA) is a rapidly emerging alternative
to conventional food marketing that creates a direct
relationship between the consumer and the farm.
Families
& Individuals receive a weekly box of fresh, sustainably
grown, seasonal produce at a better-than-retail price!
CSA's
allow growers to focus on land stewardship and maintain
productive & profitable small farms, while at
the same time meeting the needs of the community.
Our
Subscribers have a special opportunity to connect
in a meaningful way with others who care about the
food they eat and how it's grown.
Your
Subscription - How it Works
Our
vegetable box is suitable for 1-3 people, depending
on diet. Multiple boxes are available for larger families.
Contents vary seasonally. You'll receive all the vegetables
you know and some you don't! Boxes will vary weekly
and will include recipes, unique items and our Inspirational
Newsletter.
You
may choose between farm pick-up, home delivery, or
designated drop-off sites. Farm pickup is Tuesday
or Thursdays after 3:00 p.m. Home delivery and drop-off
sites are available in certain areas (call for locations).
In
order to keep our subscription program active year-round,
we purchase vegetables from other farms during the
winter months. In the summer, we supplement what we
grow with special items from other local growers,
particularly fruit.
In
addition to your normal box, these goodies are also
available:
- Seasonal
Fruit
- Fresh-baked
Organic Bread
- Farm
Fresh Eggs (coming soon!)
