Sebastopol, CA (April 29, 2007) The Wine Emporium is pleased to announce internationally acclaimed quilt maker, author and lecturer, Judy Mathieson, as our featured artist in the Gallery.
Mathieson will be on hand to discuss her colorful quilts and inspirations. The exhibition will highlight the “Shadowed Circles” design, including a quilt made from remnants of antique Kimonos. The show runs through August 31st.
Mathieson became interested in quilt-making in 1973 while completing a BS degree at California State, Northridge. Since then, her work has received numerous prizes at National and International Quilt Competitions. She is certified as a Judge for the National Quilt Association.
Mathieson and husband Jack reside in Sonoma County. She conducts workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Scotland, New Zealand and England. For more information on the artist, please visit www.JudyMathieson.com
